This Cookie Policy explains how CreativeSoul Photography uses cookies and similar technologies on creativesoulphoto.com (the "Site"), what each one does, and how to control them. Read it alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. It lets the site remember things between page loads, such as what is in your cart or whether you already dismissed a banner.
We also use technologies that work like cookies:
- Pixels and tags. Tiny pieces of code that report when you view a page or take an action, used mainly for advertising and analytics.
- Local storage. Data your browser stores on your device, similar to a cookie but with more capacity.
- Session storage. Data cleared as soon as you close the tab.
Throughout this policy, "cookies" covers all of these.
2. The Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary
These keep the Site working. They cannot be turned off through our banner, and the Site will not function correctly without them.
| Cookie or technology | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | CreativeSoul | Keeps your session active as you move between pages | Until you close your browser |
| Cookie consent record | CreativeSoul | Remembers your cookie choices so we stop asking | 12 months |
| Cart and checkout cookies | Shopify | Keeps items in your cart and carries you through checkout | Up to 2 years |
| Payment security cookies | Stripe | Detects fraud and verifies payments | Up to 1 year |
| Booking session cookies | Acuity Scheduling | Holds your selections while you book a session | Session to 1 year |
| Security and load balancing | Hosting provider | Protects the Site and routes traffic | Session to 1 year |
2.2 Analytics
No analytics cookies or analytics tags are currently active on the Site. Our hosting provider may keep basic server logs, such as the requested page, browser information, IP address, and request time, for security, reliability, and troubleshooting. We do not currently use those logs to build visitor profiles.
If we add an analytics service later, we will update this policy and connect it to the consent controls before the service begins collecting optional analytics data.
2.3 Advertising and Retargeting
No advertising pixel, retargeting tag, or ManyChat website widget is currently installed on the Site. Visiting this Site does not currently add your browser to a CreativeSoul retargeting audience.
CreativeSoul maintains accounts on third-party platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. If you interact with us on those platforms, their own privacy and cookie policies apply. If we add Site-based advertising technology later, we will update this policy and require the appropriate consent before it loads.
2.4 Functional
These improve the experience but are not required. They are optional.
| Cookie or technology | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Video player cookies | Embedded video provider | Remembers playback preferences and volume | Up to 2 years |
| Font and asset delivery | Content delivery network | Loads fonts and images faster on repeat visits | Up to 1 year |
| Gallery preferences | Gallery provider | Remembers your favorites and view settings inside your gallery | Session to 1 year |
3. Your Choices
3.1 The Cookie Banner
The first time you visit, a banner lets you save your cookie preferences. At launch, the Site does not load analytics or advertising trackers. The controls are in place so optional tools cannot be added later without a consent path.
- Accept All permits optional categories if a disclosed tool is added in the future
- Reject All keeps optional categories off
- Manage Preferences lets you save a choice for each optional category
Your choice is stored for 12 months.
3.2 Changing Your Mind
Click Cookie Settings in the Site footer at any time to change your preferences. Changes take effect immediately for new cookies. Cookies already on your device stay until they expire or you clear them in your browser.
3.3 Browser Controls
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
Blocking all cookies will break parts of the Site, including booking and checkout.
3.4 Third-Party Platform Controls
If you interact with CreativeSoul through Instagram, Facebook, Shopify, Acuity Scheduling, Vimeo, or another third-party service, use that service's privacy and advertising settings to control information handled on its platform. Those controls are separate from this Site's cookie settings.
3.5 Do Not Track
Browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal, but there is no agreed standard for how sites should respond, and we do not currently respond to it. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals where our platform supports them, treating them as an opt-out of advertising cookies.
4. What Happens If You Decline
The Site, inquiry forms, and links to booking and checkout continue to work. Embedded or linked third-party services may apply their own cookies when you choose to use them. Because no analytics or advertising trackers are active on the Site today, declining those categories does not remove any current Site feature.
5. Third-Party Cookie Policies
When you choose to use an embedded or linked service, its cookies and data practices are governed by its own policy:
- 17hats: 17hats.com/privacy
- Acuity Scheduling and Squarespace: squarespace.com/privacy
- Mailchimp and Intuit: intuit.com/privacy/statement
- Shopify: shopify.com/legal/cookies
- Stripe: stripe.com/privacy
- Vimeo: vimeo.com/cookie_policy
6. Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when we add or remove tools. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version. If we add a new category of cookie, the banner will reappear and ask for your choice again.
