A photographic journey highlighting black beauty around the world.
In 2016 we set out on one of the biggest journeys of our career. We decided to photograph kids in 8 countries in the span of about two months. We visited the UK, France, the Netherlands, Greece, Italy, South Africa, Ghana and Cuba to photographed kids in each city. The reward ended up being something greater than we could ever imagine. Throughout our journey we gained a greater appreciation for our work and realized that there was a need for what we do throughout the world. This inspired us to dream bigger and push past boundaries that we could only dream of surpassing.
KENYA
Kenya is elemental. Vast. Alive with a power that bypasses language and speaks directly to the spirit. Against backdrops of sweeping landscapes, Maasai-inspired adornment, and the warm, red earth of East Africa, your child is photographed not as a subject — but as a sovereign. This is imagery that says: I belong to something ancient and magnificent.
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa holds multitudes the pain of its past and the extraordinary beauty of its present. From the bold, architectural landscapes of Cape Town to the living traditions of its many peoples, this destination invites your child to inhabit a story of triumph. Every portrait created here carries the weight of survival and the lightness of joy. That tension is breathtaking.
CUBA
Havana is a feast for every sense — peeling pastels, drumbeats rising from alleyways, the salt of the sea on warm Caribbean air. Cuba's profound African roots pulse through its architecture, its music, its spirit. Here, we create imagery that vibrates with color and life, portraits that move even when they're still. Your child doesn't pose in Cuba.
LONDON
London is one of the great crossroads of the world — a city shaped, in no small part, by the cultures and labor of the African and Caribbean diaspora. Your child's portrait session here is a quiet revolution. Amid the gothic grandeur, the lush royal parks, and the layered history of this iconic city, we create imagery that is both deeply personal and unmistakably powerful. London has never looked this beautiful.
ITALY
For centuries, European classicism set the standard for who got to be painted, sculpted, and immortalized. We are changing that conversation — one portrait at a time. Against the marbled opulence of Rome, the golden light of Tuscany, and the timeless grandeur of Italian architecture, your child is cast as the muse, the subject, the masterpiece. This is art history with a different protagonist.
GREECE
Long before the world agreed on who counted as civilized, Africa and Greece shared trade routes, ideas, and bloodlines. When your child stands among Grecian columns and Aegean light, they are not a visitor to mythology — they are woven into it. We style, compose, and photograph each session here to evoke the divine. Because that is exactly what your child is.
FRANCE
From the Black artists, writers, and musicians of the Harlem Renaissance who found freedom in Paris to the vibrant Afropean culture thriving in the city today, Black people have always had a place in France's most glamorous story. Your child's portrait session here is draped in that legacy — couture styling, iconic backdrops, and the golden-hour light that has made Paris the world's most photographed city. We simply make sure the right child is in the frame.
AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam is a city of thinkers, traders, and dreamers — a place where centuries of global exchange have left an indelible cultural imprint. With its storybook architecture, its reflective waterways, and its spirit of radical openness, Amsterdam offers a backdrop that is at once intimate and cinematic. Here, we create portraits that feel like scenes from a beautiful, unwritten novel — and your child is the author.
